The Lincoln School serves the Chestnut Hill neighborhoods and has a population of 377 students. The school was fully renovated in 1996 with additional space added for administrative offices, library, science, art, and music classrooms.
Heath's core values are Build Community, Communicate Respect, Work Hard and Strive for Excellence. The school places a high value on student achievement and teacher collaboration. Pre-K through Grade 3 students participate in a monthly Heath Family Meeting. In grades 4-8, elected
representatives serve on Student Council and two 8th graders also serve as members of the Lincoln School Council.
A number of events are held throughout the year, including Field Day, Music in the Morning, Day of the Reader, and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day assembly. All grades participate in community service, and Heath has an ongoing relationship with the Ronald McDonald House as a community service project for 6th, 7th and 8th graders.
2007-2008 School Performance DataFamily events include a Welcome BBQ, Family Math Night, Family Book Clubs that meet four times a year, Black History Month Celebration and International Night. The PTO plays an important role in the school and organizes many events to encourage parent participation.

Under the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act, school districts must produce an annual report that includes information on student performance on state tests. NCLB establishes performance standards for all schools and school districts and requires that they meet these standards for the student population as a whole and for sub-groups with sufficient representation in the school or district. Schools and districts can make Adequate Yearly Progress either by meeting an absolute standard or by making sufficient progress towards that standard relative to a base year. This year the Public Schools of Brookline and each individual school made Adequate Yearly Progress.
